Regenerate Outcomes achieves Verra registration for its UK-origin soil carbon project, expanding high-integrity carbon credit supply for corporate buyers.
Regenerate Outcomes today announces a significant milestone for the UK voluntary carbon market: the successful validation of its soil carbon project under Verra’s VM0042 methodology for Improved Agricultural Land Management.
This marks the first UK-origin project to achieve validation under this internationally recognised standard, creating a new source of British carbon credits for organisations seeking credible, high-integrity options to complement their decarbonisation strategies.
The project works with British farmers to implement regenerative land management practices designed to improve soil health, increase carbon stocks and strengthen long-term agricultural resilience. Credits generated through the project will be subject to ongoing monitoring and independent verification in accordance with Verra requirements prior to issuance.
For corporate buyers, the registered project provides access to a domestic carbon credit solution supported by a robust methodological framework and transparent governance. As organisations face increasing scrutiny over climate claims and carbon procurement decisions, demand continues to grow for credits that demonstrate clear standards, measurable outcomes and trusted assurance processes.
Tom Dillon, Managing Director at Regenerate Outcomes, said:
“This validation represents an important step forward for the nature-based carbon removal market in the UK. Organisations are rightly placing greater emphasis on their transparent and accurate accounting of greenhouse gas emissions. The Verra methodology ensures that same rigour of scientific accounting underpins each carbon credit – enabling a like-for-like offset. We are proud to be creating an exchange whereby companies are directly supporting British farmers to regenerate ecosystems from the soil up.”
Initial credit supply will be made available to selected organisations with demand for high-quality, UK-origin credits as part of broader net zero and residual emissions strategies.
